Issa Rae is back.

HBO's Insecure was a surprise hit when it debuted in 2016. Those who were familiar with Issa Rae's breakout web series Awkward Black Girl knew that her show would find success once it was picked up by HBO. Based on the same concept, Insecure explores the Black female experience in America. The series has been a commercial and critical success throughout its first two seasons, and has earned Issa Rae two Best Actress Golden Globe nominations. We believe she'll snag one sooner or later for her work on Insecure, it is only a matter of time.

HBO recently took to Twitter to give fans a glimpse into season three of Insecure. The latest trailer highlights Issa as she tries to find a new place to live. She is currently shacked up with Daniel, her old love interest, and Lawrence, her most recent lover, is no where to be seen. It looks like sexual tensions are rising between Issa and Daniel, and her friends want nothing to do with it. Issa wrestles with her emotions while her friends deal with their own relationship troubles. Insecure stars Issa Rae, Jay Ellis, Yvonne Orji, Y'lan Noel, Amanda Seales, and Lisa Joyce. Season three premiers on August 12.
