New York Fashion Week has been eventful, to say the least. There's a lot of things that have popped up, especially among female rappers. Foxy Brown is reportedly facing a lawsuit after she flopped on a paid performance during NYFW. According to sources, she was late, appeared to be intoxicated and refused to perform, although she was already paid half of the money. Now, her publicist Lizzy Grubman has reportedly resigned in wake of the legal threats.
According to Page Six, Foxy Brown's publicist is no longer with the rapper after the New York Fashion Week disaster. According to sources, Brown allegedly "arrived to the party at nearly 2 a.m. f--ked up. She was slurring and she refused to perform." She was scheduled to perform at designer LaQuan Smith's after-party.
Brown was expected to perform alongside Christian Combs, Diddy's son, who was one of the many VIPs at the party. La La Anthony, Tiffany Hadish, Winnie Harlow and others were in attendance.
Page Six TV co-host Bevy Smith was reportedly hanging out with Brown before the incident and said that she was in great spirits, especially because of the success of her collaboration with Nicki Minaj. However, other sources claimed she was "falling over people" and requesting vodka. Bevy refuted this claim by saying it's possible she had a clothing mishap.
"She had a wardrobe mishap... [a designer] sent her two shoes for the same foot. She was in 6-[inch] heel boots that would lace up to the knee... so she was kind of hobbling around, but we were talking and laughing,” Bevy said, although she was solely at the fashion show itself.
Brown's reportedly being threatened with legal action for refusing to perform although she was paid. They will follow through with the suit unless Brown returns the money she was paid.
