Fat Joe reveals how his record "Pride N Joy" which featured a massive line-up, came together.

Fat Joe recently released a record with a ton of a features, "Pride N Joy." The song featured Kanye West, Miguel, Jadakiss, Mos Def, DJ Khaled, Roscoe Dash & Busta Rhymes.

Fat Joe talked about the impressive line-up to MTV, and comparing it to Native Tongues. "That's exactly what it was," Fat Joe said of Native Tongues comparisons. "It was like Native Tongues, it was like crazy, everybody was in there, and that's what hip-hop is supposed to be."

Fat Joe explained that it was Kanye West who put things in motion for the song to come together, " 'Ye hit me up and said, 'Yo Joe, it's time.' He don't even get on the phone, so when he said it was time, I flew into New York," Joe said. "We were up in there working in the lab for like three, four days."

Although the song originally featured a hook by Trey Songz, Kanye didn't like the feel and wanted everybody to get on the hook, "He was like, 'Yo we gotta turn it into hip-hop, we gotta chant the hook. He called a bunch of people, I called a bunch of people, they came down."
