When news broke that Faith Evans and Stevie J tied the knot in Las Vegas, fans, friends and family were left shocked. The couple have been friends for over 20 years but no one could have expected that they would bring the law into their love in a hotel room one night in Las Vegas. Faith and Stevie were in Sin City to film the video for their single "A Minute" and apparently that's what turned their friendship into courtship.
“We started working on the song a few months ago in Las Vegas and we got great feedback so we filmed the video in April,” she said, as seen in the clip below. “And neither one of those times we knew that we would get married on July 17, but we had the date for the single release already in mind. It’s actually good timing now but it wasn’t planned. The single was going to come out regardless.”
She added: “People are always going to have something to say but I would never do anything (an important decision) like that for a publicity stunt."
