Trump wants Lynch suspended.
Prior to yesterday's game between the New England Patriots and Oakland Raiders in Mexico City, Raiders running back Marshawn Lynch once again decided to sit for the national anthem, but then stood for the Mexican anthem. Lynch's actions did not go unnoticed by President Trump, who took to social media, as he is one to do, to voice his displeasure with the veteran running back.
Trump, who has pleaded with the NFL to suspend or fine players who do not stand for the national anthem, described Lynch's show of protest in Mexico City as a "great disrespect." He added that the league should suspend Marshawn for the remainder of the season if he does it again, once again citing NFL "attendance and ratings way down."
"Marshawn Lynch of the NFL’s Oakland Raiders stands for the Mexican Anthem and sits down to boos for our National Anthem. Great disrespect! Next time NFL should suspend him for remainder of season. Attendance and ratings way down."
Lynch has remained seated during the national anthem since coming out of retirement this season, but has not yet commented on it. Back in October he wore a "Everybody vs. Trump" t-shirt prior to the Raiders' game against the Denver Broncos.
Given Trump's tweets about Marshawn Lynch, he was probably happy to see the Raiders get crushed by Tom Brady and the New England Patriots at Azteca Stadium. Brady threw for 339 yards and three touchdowns, as the Patriots rolled to a 33-8 victory against the Raiders.

With last night's win, the Pats improved to 8-2 on the season which puts them atop the AFC along with the Pittsburgh Steelers. Those two teams will go head to head in Week 14. The Raiders, on the other hand, have now dropped to 4-6 on the year.
