Desiigner should think twice next time he decides to put someone on blast on the Internet because now, it's costing him six figures. The rapper was sued for defamation last year after he put a woman on blast, claiming that she scammed him. Clearly, that wasn't a great move on his behalf because a judge has now ordered him to fork over nearly $136K to the girl.
According to TMZ, Desiigner has been ordered to pay Jessica Brown $135,777.11 for damages. The judge determined it was a default judgment, siding with Brown since Desiigner didn't contest it. Brown sued Desiigner for defamation and invasion of privacy after he called her out for trying to "scam" him into paying for his sister to get into Howard University. He warned his followers that she's a "fraud" and warned them to look out for her "college scams."
Brown owns a company called College Gurl who she claims helps young people on how the pay for college. She claimed she helped Desiigner's sister, Siera Shelby, to get into Howard. Shelby left school as well as a few belongings and Desiigner allegedly didn't believe that Brown was running an actual business to help people to get into college. He went off on her on Instagram, writing, "This girl is a fraud. Tried to scam me into paying for my sister to get into Howard University and now she is trying to hold my sister's belongings. Please stay away from her and her college scams."
