Earlier today, Common shared some details on his forthcoming album Black America Again, which will be dropping on November 4th & feature guest appearances from BJ The Chicago Kid, John Legend, PJ (for two tracks), and Syd among others. Well in addition to this information, the Chicago veteran also released a new song in its support as well called “Letter To The Free” featuring Bilal.
Going in over the soulful & jazzy instrumental, Common delivers another politically-charged anthem addressing social injustices happening in America. It follows up the lead single “Black America Again,” which features Stevie Wonder.

Southern leaves, southern trees we hung from
Barren souls, heroic songs unsung
Forgive them Father they know this knot is undone
Tied with the rope that my grandmother died
Pride of the pilgrims affect lives of millions
Since slave days separating, fathers from children
Institution ain't just a building
