Chris Rivers tackles Childish Gambino's "This Is America" for his new track.

Chris Rivers has been steadily delivering new music every week with his "Barz Day Wednesday" series. The rapper typically takes a popular beat and flips it into something new, although he has dropped some original tunes on the way. Either way, he's proved with each drop that his pen game is always on point. This week, he hops on Childish Gambino's "This Is America."

Chris Rivers comes through with his new track, "This Is Depression" which remixes Childish Gambino's recently released single, "This Is America." The rapper uses the song as a way to speak on the struggles of dealing with depression while simultaneously trying to keep a positive state of mind. Rivers uses the opportunity to speak on how things like society and prior experiences contribute to mental health.

Quotable Lyrics
Impact, the all real shit, it feels empty
Relax, it's not new Chris, I been plenty
Relapse, it works for a bit, it feels tempting
A star with a buck in a seat, it feels venti
