In their latest outing, sisters/Beyonce proteges Chloe & Halle have crafted the track "Grown," a song the two young women wrote and produced as the theme song for Grown-ish, a spin-off series from ABC's Black-ish show.
For those unfamiliar with either series, Black-ish is best described as a much more modern and much more raw iteration of the Cosby Show in which an affluent African-American family navigate srelatable situations while patriarch Andre, portrated by Anthony Anderson, tries his best to maintain his family's connection to their roots as Black Americans. Grown-ish will follow the family's eldest child, Zoey, as she leaves the nest and goes off to college.
Interestingly enough, Chloe & Halle will also get to flex their acting chops in the show as they have nabbed the recurring roles of twin track stars at the university that Zoey attends.
Grown-ish will premiere on ABC's Freeform channel on January 3rd.
