As we all know, Beyonce and Jay Z took the stage at the Global Citizen Festival in Johannesburg at the FNB Stadium at the top of the month. Their performance came just a few weeks after they ended their On The Run Tour 2 and needless to say, it was a memorable experience for the Carter's and their family alike.
Beyonce was so moved by her attendance that she has taken to Instagram to share a note on her experience and the impact the festival has made. "After settling in at home from a beautiful trip to South Africa and India, I am still in awe that 7.1 BILLION dollars was raised to aid Global Citizen in its efforts to eradicate extreme poverty," she captioned alongside a video compilation of her and Jay's performance.

Beyonce detailed how the money raised will help fund important change such as improving "education, healthcare, sanitation, women’s rights, and countless other causes for millions across the globe."
"I felt so much positivity and pride in the audience at Global Citizen: Mandela 100. Madiba, Johannesburg, and all of my African sisters and brothers, we hope we made you as proud as you all make us. South Africa was an extraordinary trip for me and my family. God bless," she added.
