Azealia Banks strikes up the hearth for some yuletide cheer.

Polarizing though she may be, the talent of Azealia Banks cannot be denied. Today, however, it's all about the music. Last night, Banks came through to deliver a brief Holiday-centric EP by the name of Icy Colors Changewhich features a few reimagined Christmas carols. In true holiday spirit, Banks found herself drawn to the rustic charms of "Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas," a staple for the ages. This time around, she allows her jazz influences ample room to dictate the pace, conjuring a somewhat dissonant (though never unpleasant) introduction to the festivities.

By the time her capable voice rings through, Banks is well on the way to delivering a rum-nog soaked lullaby. At times, she pushes her voice to do a little too much, occasionally dipping into Fergie's National Anthem territory; for the most part, however, Banks proves herself a capable vocalist, and her rendition should feel at home alongside your favorite Christmas covers.

Quotable Lyrics

Have yourself a merry little Christmas
Make the Yuletide gay
Next year all our troubles
Will be miles away
