A$AP Rocky keeps the ball rolling with "Money Bags Freestyle."
Most A$AP Mob videos are viewed through a vintage filter, Rocky's "Money Bags Freestyle" is no different. Ask any visual artist and they might yawn at the visual effects, but hip hop fans have been appreciate for the enabling factor of "something new." If A$AP Rocky does one thing well, it's aggregating style and content. His latest video, "Money Bags Freestyle" offers a split screen montage of his many gesticulations and visual elements, like a golden bullet hemorrhaging out the screen or one of many "cheeky side glances."
"Money Bags Freestyle" comes in the wings of a forthcoming WANGSAP collaboration with Tyler the Creator, and album that promises plenty of gaffes and skit-like synergy. A$AP Rocky continues to flaunt a meticulous fascination with his outward appearance, even the Praise The Lord (Da Shine) video is guilty of exacting a strict visual aesthetic from musical guest Skepta. Rocky could have simply shot the video in once location, with one wardrobe, and with underpaid supplicants, but he did jugular as we've come to expect.
