A$AP Rocky's fashion interests are as experimental as his latest album. In truth, the man may be one of the few rappers capable of differentiating between a "purse" and a "satchel." That in itself sets him apart from the pack. Case in point, Rocky previously did his damndest to make the babushka a staple, having previously donned the signature Russian headpiece on occasion. Now, it would appear that Flacko has taken his admiration for the Babushka to a new height. His Instagram profile dubs him the self-proclaimed "BABUSHKA BOI," and now, the rapper has premiered a new banger called "BABUSHKA" on his Injured Generation tour.
Clearly, the man is a Babushka fiend in every sense of the word. "If you got a Babushka put that shit on right now!" screams Rocky, as the instrumental queues up. It soon becomes evident that Rocky is sitting on an absolute banger, with an eerie, up-tempo instrumental reminiscent of the caffeinated cousin of "Fukk Sleep." It's unclear when he's planning on dropping the track, but we can only hope it's sooner rather than later.
Though Testing was a solid project from start to finish, many hoped for Rocky to go back to basics, and flex the technical prowess that helped elevate his status in the first place. As it happens, "Babushka" feels like a promising sign of things to come. Any thoughts?
