News Lil Boosie Caught Smuggling Codeine Into Prison <p>Incarcerated Baton Rouge rapper Lil Boosie continues to bolster his 'Bad Azz' rep by piling on charge after charge, while awaiting trial on an initial first-degree murder charge in an Louisiana prison.<br /> <br /> The rapper, born Torrence Hatch, has been charged, along with two other inmates, for attempting to smuggle codeine syrup -- a Southern rap staple -- into the Louisiana State Penitentiary at Angola, where Boosie is currently housed, according to local CBS news affiliate WAFB 9.<br /> <br /> By Rose Lilah May 26, 2011
News M-Bone of Cali Swag District Killed in Drive-By Shooting <p>Rapper M-Bone of Inglewood, Calif.-based rap group Cali Swag District was shot and killed late last night (May 15). There are still few details about the tragic incident, but TMZ reports that M-Bone was the victim of a drive-by shooting.<br /> <br /> At the time of the shooting, which reportedly occurred at 11:30PM, M-Bone was standing beside his car in front of a liquor store in Inglewood. Sources say the shooter was driving down La Brea Avenue when he fired shots. It appears that the shooting was a random act of violence. News Lil Wayne Lists His Miami Mansion for $12.9M <p>Rapper Lil Wayne wants to, or maybe just needs to, unload his Miami mansion on La Gorce Island, Fla., that he purchased early last year for $14 million. He is asking $12.9 million for a possible quick sale given he has an Internal Revenue Service tax lien hanging over his head.<br /> <br /> The IRS says the rapper, whose real name is Dwayne Michael Carter, Jr., owes the government a total of $5.6 million, which breaks down to $3,351,078 owed for 2008 and $2,258,956 for 2009.
