A rapper by the name of Kasper Knight shot himself in the face for a "music video."

An Indiana-based rapper, Kasper Knight, who goes by the name Kasper Tha Phantom, is currently enjoying some Facebook fame and virality thanks to a video he took of himself-- shooting himself in the face.

The struggling rapper apparently wanted to make a music video which includes a scene of himself shooting himself in the face, except there was no camerman who wanted to film it (hmmm), so he went ahead and shot it himself. He then shared the footage with the worldwide web via his Facebook page, and a lengthy caption explaining the video, and then, following the unsurprising backlash he's received, he responded with another Facebook post.

The initial video where Kasper shoots himself in the side of the face begins with the following words: "Plot twist: I shot myself in the face."

He writes later, "I actually wanted to put this in a music video/ but no cameraman wanted to film it. So I did it myself since I felt like taking a bullet to the face. Anyway, this was really nothing. I've been shot a couple times before and this was like a 4 out of 10 on the pain scale after the initial impact. I look slightly disorientated after the blast. That's because my ears were ringing/ in pain. It was hard to focus on sound and although I assumed that i swallowed the bullet/ I wasn't quite sure."

You can watch content below. Warning: it is graphic.

After the video went viral, he responded to the masses here.
