It’s been four years since James Avery, who played Uncle Phil on The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, passed away at the age of 68. His TV Banks family got together recently to reminisce about the show and commemorate Avery’s life as both a TV uncle and generally good dude.
The photo was posted on Alfonso Ribeiro, AKA Carlton Banks’, Instagram yesterday. He caption ed it “always amazing to spend an afternoon with my Fresh Prince family. Wishing that James Avery was still with us to make this complete.” He was joined by Will Smith, Tatiana Ali, Karyn Parsons, Joseph Marcell and Daphne Maxwell (the “other” Aunt Viv). It’s great to see the show’s cast with such a strong relationship more than 20 years after the show ended.
