XXXTentacion unveils some ambitious plans.

Fear will be plentiful, death will be bountiful, X will spare none of you peasants. At least, not in 2018. In a move that will make his haters groan and his fans fist pump in sheer unbridled glee, XXXTentacion has taken to Instagram to announce his ambitious goals for next year. The 17 rapper intends on delivering three albums next year, pseudo-retirement be damned. It's unclear whether or not those albums will be compiled of Soundcloud loosies like his recently released A Ghetto Christmas Carol, or if they'll be full fledged, polished releases like 17. Still, it's clear that X has a lot to get off his chest, and it will be interesting to see which direction his new music takes.

However, there is one potentially serious factor at play. With every passing day, XXXTentacion's trial continues to loom, and the young rapper will be forced to head to court on December 15th. He has already begged fans to show up at the courthouse, encouraging his supporters to bring healthy doses of positive energy. "If I am taken into custody," says X, "I want to tell everyone I've let down I apologize, I tried my best, I really did."

Ultimately, X is standing trial for aggravated battery of a pregnant woman, domestic battery by strangulation, false imprisonment and most recently, witness-tampering. It feels like the end of an era, in a way; only yesterday, X was popping off about Drake on the radio, ingraining himself as one of 2017's most controversial breakout stars. Whether or not that saga comes to a premature conclusion has yet to be seen.
