It's been a minute since we've heard new music from either XXXTentacion or Ski Mask The Slump God, and both emcees seemed positioned to close out 2017 on a relatively quiet note. Still, the year has been a fruitful one for both rappers, which saw them entering stardom as inseparable homies going through a public falling out in late October. While it wasn't entirely clear what prompted the fallout, X raised attention to it when he released a public statement in an attempt to rekindle with Ski Mask.

However, The Slump God didn't seem to be having it, claiming he would "always have love for X," but needed to keep his distance in order to develop his own artistic identity. He subsequently elaborated, adding a darker twist to the tale with claims that X was a ""person who has before threaten[ed] my family, told me I was supposed to be sacrificed on some crazy shit. So no I didn't just separate myself for no reason."

Since then, X has seemingly been on a positive kick, and the divisive rapper once again reached out to The Slump God in an Instagram story. Addressing Ski Mask, X writes "don't care about what you said about me, you know who got your back, love you, forever." You can check that out below. As of now, Ski Mask has yet to issue a response, but it would be nice if the two of them could talk out their differences. There's too much hate in the world as it is.
