The best r'n'b singer you may not have heard of yet, JMSN, is back today with the release of a brand new single. "So Badly" follows a similar sound and style as his last full-length release, Whatever Makes U Happy, in that it harkens back to an old school r'n'b era as opposed to a more experimental or modern approach (which he has definitely done as well, dude can do it all). There's a lot of live instrumentation, from the plucking of a groovy guitar, to string instruments, to piano keys. "So Badly" is as much about the production as it is about JMSN's layered, repeated vocals.
JMSN has pretty consistently released a new body of work for the past five years, so given the release of this new record, he's probably got his next body of work on the way to satisfy fans for 2018.
