Eminem's "Framed" is a "Revival" highlight.

It's only been officially out for less than twelve hours, but Eminem's latest album Revival has already left the internet divided. While there are certainly some highlights to be found, the project is undeniably packed with stadium anthems and pop-friendly production, more "Love The Way You Lie" than "Kill You." Unfortunately, if you don't care for that side of Em, Revival may very well fall flat. Yet there was one moment where the nostalgia held true, especially for a Relapse fan like myself. On the FredWreck produced "Framed," Eminem takes us back to the Relapse era, weaving a twisted tale of murder, gore, blackouts, kidnapping, and general insanity.

While some were put off by Relapse's macabre content, it arguably features some of his best, most effortless flows since his comeback. "Framed" almost sounds like it could have been a Relapse leftover, if it weren't for the gruesome references to Ivanka Trump. Still, it's refreshing to hear Eminem drop one for the Relapse fans. I know I'm not alone on this one - is there anyone else who wishes he would have dropped Relapse 2?

Quotable Lyrics

Woke up it was dawn, must a knew something was wrong
Think I'm becoming a monster 'cause of the drugs that I'm on
Donald Duck's on as the Tonka Truck in the yard
But dog how the fuck is Ivanka Trump in the trunk of my car
Gotta get to the bottom of it to try to solve it
Must go above and beyond, 'cause it's incumbent upon
Me, 'cause I feel somewhat responsible for the dumb little blonde girl
