Gucci Mane’s 2017 run is getting better by the day. After getting out of prison looking leaner than ever, Guwop delivered Droptopwop, an excellent album with Metro Boomin’, proving that a post-prison Gucci can still deliver high quality product. Not only that, Gucci was taking wins in his personal life, with his upcoming marriage to Keyshia Ka’oir basically turning into a publicized, televised hip-hop equivalent to a royal wedding. Gucci also found himself on the charts after landing appearances on tracks by radio-friendly pop artists Fifth Harmony and Selena Gomez. Suffice it to say, we’ve officially wrapped up the summer of Guwop on a high note, and he’s about to ring in the fall with some of the best news yet.
While Gucci was originally set to serve an additional two years of probation, a judge has dropped the charges, leaving Gucci a free man. The Fader broke the news that Atlanta Judge Steve C Jones signed off on Gucci’s request for an early termination of his “supervised release.” Ultimately, Gucci’s new lease on life, paid off big for the East Atlanta Santa, who can now look forward to experiencing a new chapter of his life with his legal woes behind him.
Last year, Gucci Mane was hit with three years probation over a gun charge. With the newfound ruling in effect, Gucci’s freedom will officially come into play on September 19th. It’s a somewhat appropriate coincidence, as the 19th marks the release of Guwop’s upcoming autobiography, The Autobiography Of Gucci Mane. If you’re interested in reading Gucci’s life story, you can check out the trailer for that right here. Not only that, but Gucci is set to drop yet another album, Mr. Davis, on September 15th.
It’s great to see that Gucci has turned his life around, and we wish him all the best with his myriad endeavors!
