After dropping a minimalist teaser video ("Take One") a few weeks back, Big K.R.I.T has come through with the official video for his gospel banger "Keep The Devil Off." The single is part of his upcoming double album 4eva Is A Mighty Long Time which is slated for release on October 27th, 2017. Ultimately, it's good timing, as Devil's Night and Halloween nights are the ideal time for, well, keeping the devil off. And while K.R.I.T's inspirational single is certainly heavy on the spiritual vibes, it never succumbs to overtly preaching a didactic message.

K.R.I.T. masterfully employs gospel soundscapes in order to accentuate his uplifting message, and while there is some use of Christian imagery (chiefly, the idea of The Devil), you don't have to be religious to ride with this one. Still, there's no denying that this is one for your soul, and it's backed by an equally powerful black-and-white video. While "Take One" was a dope exploration in minimalism, the official clip is far more cinematic, following a pop-lock-happy young man as he dances his way through the projects.

If one were to apply some sort of basic thematic analysis, it might be suggested that the menacing gazes from bystanders and nefarious robbers are representative of "the devil," and the adherence to dance is representative of an unyielding positive attitude. Or perhaps it simply looked cool on camera. Either way, K.R.I.T is looking like he's about to come back with a vengeance, and 4eva Is A Mighty Long Time should reward K.R.I.T fans with the project they've been waiting for.

Check out the Alex Nazari directed video now, and check back on October 27th for what promises to be a metric ton of new Big K.R.I.T music.
