Kanye West and Kim Kardashian have been mainstays in the public eye ever since they started dating in 2012. After their marriage in May of 2014, they soon expanded their brood to include two children: North and Saint West, born in 2013 and 2015 respectively. Now, according to a new report from TMZ, Kanye and Kiim are set to add one more kid to their growing family, with all signs pointing towards a winter birth.
As per sources, Kanye West and Kim Kardashian are expecting a third child in January of 2018. The couple had hired a surrogate, after Kim's medical condition got to the point where it was deemed unsafe for her to carry another child to term. She has placenta accreta, which became very serious during the tail-end of her second pregnancy in 2015. As a result, the two hired a surrogate and have placed the expecting mother under very strict guidelines as to the do's and don'ts of her pregnancy. As per an earlier report from TMZ, she was told to refrain from smoking, drinking and using drugs during the pregnancy, as well as foregoing sexual intercourse for 3 weeks following embryo implantation. Those limitations weren't all, however. The surrogate also cannot use any hot tubs or saunas, handle or change any cat litter, apply hair dye, consume more than one caffeinated beverage per day or eat any raw fish whatsoever.
If it seems like a strict set of guidelines (which it is), the woman in question is also being paid very well for her time and efforts. In terms of a "salary," the surrogate is receiving $45,000 in 10, $4,500 monthly installments, as well as the potential bonus of $5,000 for each additional kid if she has multiples. Additionally, if the surrogate loses reproductive organs, she gets $4,000. Finally, Kanye West and Kim Kardashian had to pony up a deposit of $68,850 with the agency that hooked them up with the surrogate.
