"Demon Party" joins YoungBoy's fifth studio album I Rest My Case and single "NEXT" as his first solo releases of 2023.
Although this most recent song reveals YoungBoy's troubling life, with lyrics like "made from a jail cеll, countin' my property," the 23-year-old still finds ways to include his successes. Above all, he refers to himself as a "boss," and isn't afraid of dark forces who want to attack him. The music video itself showcases YoungBoy standing solo, and through scenery exemplifies a dichotomy between fire and ice. Even with these seemingly harsh weather conditions, the Louisiana-born rapper remains contemplative and calm throughout the video.
YoungBoy Refuses To Hold Back With Upcoming Album, "Don't Try This At Home"
On Tuesday (February 27), YoungBoy slyly dropped "NEXT," which exudes more of an upbeat effort. Both releases from this week are attached to the rapper's album DON'T TRY THIS AT HOME. Last month, he took to the Rap Radar podcast to discuss his upcoming project, describing work as being "peaceful." While YoungBoy mentioned how he refrained from getting too aggressive with his lyrics in I Rest My Case, he has no inhibitions in his new effort. He told the podcast, “I’ma talk crazy on there. I’m a show you the Murda Man. I’m gon’ talk crazy on there, but I’m letting you know though, don’t try this at home. It’s all entertainment, bruh. I’ma talk my s### and everything I talk, I’m letting you know, don’t try this at home.”
