"Welcome to the Ghetto", the first single from Demar Jones's upcoming EP, is a grim portrait of Jones' hometown of Charlotte. All Jones ever wanted was a pair of new kicks, but he's "broke as a joke" from his day job winnings. And so he aims higher, with his rap career than he hopes can effect positive change to himself and his community. Jones got a lil Mick Jenkins vibe going on.
