It’s been a hot minute since we last heard from D.C. artist Kingpen Slim. In fact, the last time he impacted our front pages was for the single “Freebase,” which dropped way back in September of 2014. Well today, that all changes as Kingpen decides to return to the scene with a new song with Chicago vocalist John Blu called “L.A.N.,” which is an acronym for “Love A Nigga.”
Over the J Buttah-produced beat, Kingspen shows off his versatility and delivers a sensual make up record that finds him going back and forth with his ex-girlfriend, “so we break up, then we make up/ Get drunk & fuck.” No word yet as for where this will end up, but hopefully there’s more to follow.
