Smino is a St Louis rapper who's recently relocated to Chicago, where he's been recording in the same studio where Chance The Rapper recorded Acid Rap. The move has paid off, as he's now produced the S!CK S!CK S!CK EP, an impressive collection of three songs before we get the full length project.

"RAW" is the highlight, using live instrumentation to create a shuffling beat that brightens up with the introduction of some synth stabs. As much movement as there is in the instrumental, it's still playing catch up to Smino's vocals, which change directions at every turn. Look for more to comes from these Chicago sessions in the near future.
