Oddly enough, the dude gracing the cover art on this is the current Dalai Lama, not Siddartha Gautama, AKA Buddha. But for Tris' purposes, "buddha" seems to mean "the boss," the master of wisdom, the one who's to be looked at with religious reverence. Ellis impresses with the song's second verse, expertly navigating the beat and making his flow inseparable from the pacing of the song.
