We've already heard one Lauryn Hill contribution to the upcoming Nina Simone tribute album Nina Revisited: A Tribute to Nina Simone, "Feeling Good," and now here's another that will appear on the compilation. This time, she takes on "Black Is The Color Of My True Love's Hair," which is technically a traditional folk song thought to have originated in Scotland, but was repopularized by Simone's version that dropped in 1959.

On this seven minute epic, Hill weaves a psychedelic tapestry of sounds, meditatively singing atop the swirling maelstrom. Her raw vocals echo Simone's own, making for an accurate, but updated cover.

Quotable Lyrics

Black is the color of my true love's hair
His face so soft and wondrous fair
The purest eyes
And the strongest hands
I love the ground on where he stands
