There's a tribute album dedicated to Nina Simone on the way, which is paired with an upcoming Netflix documentary on the legendary singer, "What Happened, Miss Simone?"
The tribute album, Nina Revisited: A Tribute to Nina Simone, contains 16 covers of some of Miss Simone's classic records, taken on by present-day stars like Usher, Mary J. Blige, Common, Jazmine Sullivan and more. Lauryn Hill is one of the artists who was tapped to record a Nina Simone cover (well, actually she did 6 out of the 16), and she did a stellar job on "Feeling Good," which was released today.
Give it a listen and be prepared to get the chills. The documentary hits Netflix on July 26th.
