Trinidad James broke news over this weekend that he got dropped from his label Def Jam, after experiencing a sudden rise to fame thanks to his single "All Gold Everything." The rapper said he'd be dropping his debut album for free, and told all the producers/artists who contributed to it that he'd only have daps to give them.

Now that he's a free agent, he's declared he's back to "doin' me" on a new record produced by Raak. Over a piano instrumental he gets honest about his current situation and what might be next for him.

Do you think getting dropped from Def Jam will turn into a good thing for Trinidad?

Quotable Lyrics

I said it's a chance that rappin' won't work
And that my first hit, could be my last verse
The people that were cheerin' for me, they don't cheer no more
And the niggas that said they love me
They don't care no more
