DJ Premier is currently touring across Europe with his new band The Badder and decided the time was right to drop the band's first ever music video for "PBADDER." Premier scratches atop horn blasts, jazzy electric piano harmonies, a straightforward, pocket funk groove. Based off this video, their live performances are lit as fuck.
Here's what Preemo had to say to Rolling Stone about the project: "The band is just another extension of what I will continue to do, which is to make hardcore raw beats," he said. He later followed saying that his work with The BADDER has been an idea that's been floating around for a while.... my hip-hop production will still remain on the MPC. I could never abandon that style."
The Badder comprises off Brady Watt on bass, Lenny “The Ox” Reece on drums, Takuya Karoda & Mark Williams on horns.
