Watch Big Sean explain his writing process for "One Man Can Change The World."

More than anything else on Dark Sky Paradise, "One Man Can Change The World" showcased a profound maturation in Big Sean. Before this, he was best known as a pioneer of hashtag rap, a guy who reveled in raunchy double entendres and "wordplay" that produced groan-worthy portmanteaus like "assquake," but that one song showed he was capable of shouldering the burden of weightier themes, and wouldn't automatically squander it in favor of a winking metaphor.

As part of his appearance on "The Late Night Show Starring Jimmy Fallon" the other night, the Detroit rapper not only performed the track, but also broke down how he wrote it. Watch him explain his process above.
