Unfortunately, Tree had to delay his upcoming mixtape, Trap Genius, by a week, but as compensation he's shared a video for a song from the project. "Milk Chin" gets its concept from Tree's visible birth mark just under his lower lip. According to the rapper, he was teased for his skin abnormality as a child, but has now decided to embrace his appearance.
Sonically, the song stays within the lane that Tree has been developing over the last few years, built off of a sample, an integral part of his self-proclaimed Soul Trap style. Much like his MCTREEG EP though, the textures of the beat are more complex than they once were, proving that the rapper is growing with every project. Look out for his tape February 24th.
