The annual XXL Freshmen list always causes some debate and controversy, there are rappers you feel should have made it the list and rappers you feel shouldn't have made it. Nonetheless, this year it seem unanimous that Chance The Rapper belongs on the list. Chance is one of the 12 rising rappers on this year's list, alongside fellow Chicago spitters Vic Mensa, Lil Bibby and Lil Durk.
The XXL Freshmen 2014 freestyles have begun their roll out today, with first up to bat being the nasally-voiced Chance.
