Nicole Kidman and Lenny Kravitz were there, too.

Statik Selektah guest stars on the latest episode of ItsTheReal's "Waste of Time" podcast. During the episode, he told the story of how he met Diddy for the first time, back in the '90s:

“The first time I ever met Puff, it was Nicole Kidman, Lenny Kravitz, my cousin, and my other cousin, Megan, and we were just chilling in this restaurant in Lafayette. I was like, ‘Yo, I’m gonna go to the bathroom.’ I come back, sit down and look up and Puff’s sitting across from me. He just showed up. He’s like, ‘Yo, what’s up man? We going out?’ I was like, ‘yeah!’ So he had two Escalades and a Ferrari and he’s like, ‘get in.’ We all get in the trucks and we’re following Puff, and we get to this light on Seventh Avenue and the shit turns green — this is at like 10:30 at night, 11 o’clock. It’s a green light on Seventh Ave Midtown and he gets out of the [Ferrari], comes over and goes, ‘Yo, you wanna hit the blunt?’”

Later, Statik recalls how he was scheduled to appear in the video for Biggie Smalls' "Nasty Girl," then got his spot taken by Green Lantern at the last minute:

"I went to the video shoot and everybody’s chilling, and Sean Price is like, ‘yo, I think you might be the DJ in the video.’ I’m on the radio across the world at this point. So I’m like, ‘yeah!’ They’re fitting me, they had stylists putting on Sean John, shit way too tight for me. I’m standing behind the turntables, I got this girl from out of town who came to visit, I’m just stunting at the time. I probably had like $300 in the bank. All of a sudden they’re like, ‘we’re ready to shoot the scene. Yo Green Lantern, get behind the turntables.’ So when you watch the video and they show Green Lantern, my arm’s next to him like, ‘hey look at me!’ But you can’t see me, you can just see my arm — the only white arm in the video. He got there last minute. I was like, ‘god dammit!’ Shout out to Green.”
