OG Maco's new mixtape The Lord Of Rage -- the prequel to his upcoming debut album -- opens with its strongest track. "Sound Of The Trumpet" is as triumphant as its title suggests, as Maco's hyper-aggressive delivery meets a bright instrumental, channelling his rage into something a little more optimistic.
It's a great tone-setter for the rest of the project, which gets quite a bit darker but doesn't feel altogether nihilistic.
