DC Comics wants to block Rihanna from trademarking the name "Robyn."

In June 2014, one Barbadian pop singer by the name of Robyn Rihanna Fenty applied with the U.S. Trademark and Patent Office to trademark the name "Robyn."

Billboard reports that DC Comics has filed an official Notice Of Opposition attempting to bar Rihanna's application, arguing that her version has too many similarities to their comic book character and Batman's trusty sidekick Robin the Boy Wonder, for whom they obviously have a trademark of their own.

Rihanna plans to launch an online publication by the name of "Robyn" -- in her application she says she will be using the name to be "providing online non-downloadable general feature magazines." In its opposition, DC argues that Rihanna's website would be “identical and/or highly related” to Robin.

Rihanna has 40 days to respond to their claims.
