The first half of the "Tha Carter V" is coming on December 9th.

Weezy may not release material quite as often as he did back in the late 2000s, but don't get to thinking he isn't in the studio every day. Releasing a new "PSA" for disappointed fans who were eagerly anticipating the October 28th release of Tha Carter V, the Young Money head honcho claimed that so much material has been recorded for the new project that it won't fit on a single album. Rather than package everything as a double-disc, the project will instead be released in two parts. The first half of the album will see light of day before the year is out, Wayne confirmed, with December 9th set as the new drop date. The second half will likely hit stores in 2015, although that's purely speculatory.

If Tha Carter V's new release date stays firm, Wayne will find himself dropping one week prior to Nicki Minaj's The Pinkprint, putting both albums in stores just in time for Christmas sales.
