Steve Carell is starring in a new show that promises to be like "The Office" but in space.

Steve Carell became one of the most prominent comedic actors in the world back in the mid to late 2000s thanks to his work on the hit NBC comedy series The Office. It's a show that has been enjoyed by millions of people and well after its finale, people are still clamoring for new seasons or at least some type of reunion.

Fortunately, Carell will be coming through with the next best thing. He has teamed up with Greg Daniels - who worked on The Office - for a brand new comedy series on Netflix called "Space Force." The series centers around Carell's character who has been put in charge of running the United States' new military branch. All sorts of hilarious antics ensue throughout Carell's journey and the show promises to recapture some of the magic of The Office. You can see what's in store in the new trailer below.

"Netflix had this premise that they thought might make a funny show—the idea made everybody laugh in a meeting, an idea of a show about the origins of a fictitious Space Force," Carell told Deadline. "It was really based on nothing, except this name that made everybody laugh.

It is being reported that this show will make its debut on Friday, May 29th.
