6LACK proves he's the top of his classic with the effortless "Long Nights," a highlight off his "6 Pc Hot" EP.

6LACK is one of those artists that get credit, but not nearly as much as they deserve. Ever since first arriving to the game alongside his Spillage Village homies, the oft-mispronounced talent wasted little time in establishing a unique style with songs like his breakout "Problems." Adding an ATL twist to the dark R&B blueprint, 6LACK eventually widened his sonic scope, adding new floors to his foundation with the expansive East Atlanta Love Letter. Now, he's back with another new release, taking it back to basics with the 6 Pc Hot EP, a hometown love letter of a different sort.

While the EP itself is brief enough to merit a complete listen, one of the easy standout cuts is "Long Nights," a laid-back yet bouncy jam that showcases 6LACK's aquatic flow. One of his biggest strengths is that he tricks you into thinking he's got a devil-may-care attitude, only to slowly peel back his layers and unveil the emotional depth beneath. Here, he deftly toes the line between charismatic and romantically sincere, a refreshing vibe when paired with typically immersive production -- and some clutch ad-libs from Ari Lennox. Be sure to show some love to the Spill Vill singer in the comments below.

QUOTABLE LYRICS

I got a good side, got a bad side, do you wanna find out?
Rolling through the city, I'm probably supposed to be on time out
Why you gotta ask, won’t you just take it?
You want someone that won't fake it, want someone that's down to get you naked
