The DMX comeback continues to shape up with another exciting development.

It's been a minute since DMX dropped off his last studio album. While his Undisputed project failed to garner the acclaim of his earlier work, many fans have since come to feel an X-shaped void in the game, an absence made all the more poignant by his recent spell of rough patches. Today, however, Dark Man X appears to be focused on cementing his return, a cause that has been wholly championed by his brother-in-arms Swizz Beatz. Together, the pair have taken to the studio on a frequent basis, conjuring up no shortage of bangers, all while opening the doors to some exciting guest opportunities.

Case in point, X appears to have linked up with the Boss himself, Rick Ross. Earlier this month Swizzy posted a snippet of a Rick Ross collaboration, which finds the producer laying down both the instrumental and the hook. "Open up my window again," sings Swizz, over his signature snare-pattern. "I can hear death calling my name, I can hear death calling my name." While the tail-end of Ross' verse is heard at the onset, it soon became revealed that X would indeed be contributing his voice to the track.

A few days back, Swizz shared another IG video of X in the studio, deep in character as he pens his verse. The familiar instrumental plays, and the faint echo of some DMX bars can be heard beneath. Look for this one to surface shortly, with both X and Ross contributing verses, while Swizzy holds it down on the hook and the instrumental. Welcome back, X!
