David Letterman remains unimpressed with the President's tenure in office.

David Letterman has forged a legendary career in his own right, and he's once again found a way to keep his name in the news. During a recent visit to Ellen Degeneres' show, Letterman partook in the "Burning Questions" segment, a game that promotes honesty amidst a hellish greenscreen. When Ellen asks what question he'd love to ask Donald Trump, were the opportunity for another interview ever surface, Letterman provides a thoughtful response.

"I knew President Trump. I'm disappointed in his administration," says Letterman, to applause. "I would say to him, Don, why are you such a putz?” At this point, it should be noted that Letterman has hosted Trump on a variety of occasions, though he previously told GQ his intentions were driven by an ulterior motive: laughing at the man.

"He was just a big, wealthy dope who’d come on and we would make fun of his hair. I would refer to him as a slumlord,” explained Letterman, during a 2017 GQ interview. “But now, this goon ... I don’t know. He’s demonstrated himself to be a man without a core, a man without a soul. Is there a guy in there?” He also expressed interest in interviewing Trump yet again, for similar reasons as those he currently holds.

Would you be interested in seeing Trump sit down for a pointed one-on-one with David Letterman. It stands to reason that the President needs no introduction, as Dave's show so appropriately promises. One has to wonder if the current POTUS will catch wind of Letterman's putz comment, and take to his Twitter pulpit for a clap-back.
