It's entirely too early to look ahead to the 2019 NFL season, but that doesn't mean we're not going to do it anyway.
Shortly after the conclusion of Super Bowl LII, which the Philadelphia Eagles won 41-33 over the New England Patriots, in case you didn't hear, Las Vegas Sportsbook began rolling out the preview for the 2019 season.
Unsurprisingly, it's the Patriots and Eagles that are among the favorites to win it all next year.
According ESPN's Ben Fawkes, the Patriots are the favorites to hoist the Lombardi trophy in 2019 with odds of 9/2, followed by the team that beat them on Sunday, the Philadelphia Eagles, who are currently listed at 6-1.
"We opened the Eagles at 10-1, but the move to 6-1 was just a reaction to the expected money coming in after they won [on Sunday]," said Westgate Las Vegas SuperBook manager Ed Salmons. "Public will think if they won the Super Bowl without Carson Wentz, when he comes back they should be even better."
Other favorites include the Pittsburgh Steelers (8-1) as well as the Minnesota Vikings and Green Bay Packers who are listed at 12-1. The three teams with the worst odds of winning the Super Bowl next season including the Cleveland Browns, Chicago Bears and New York Jets, who are all 100-1 long shots on the Westgate board, according to ESPN.
Super Bowl LIII will take place on February 3rd, 2019 at the home of the Atlanta Falcons, Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
