The 2018 MTV Movie & TV Awards were filmed at Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, California on Saturday (June 16), and the red carpet was packed with celebrities. This year's award ceremony was hosted by Tiffany Haddish, who continues to impress as one of the funniest comedians in Hollywood. DJ Mustard and Nick Jonas performed their new single "Anywhere" at the award show, and Chloe x Halle also performed their singles "Warrior" and "The Kids Are Alright," off their debut album of the same name.
Among the stars that were nominated this year, Chadwick Boseman was up for several awards for his role as Black Panther. Best Fight, Best On-Screen Team, Best Hero, Best Performance In A Movie, and Best Movie were all graced by his presence, so the king of Wakanda should have snagged at least one award. Millie Bobby Brown was nominated for Best Performance In A Show for her role as Eleven on Stranger Things, while host Tiffany Haddish also garnered a number of nominations herself.
Of course, Avengers: Infinity War was nominated for a number of awards, including Best Movie, Best Villain, and Best Fight. Jay-Z’s Footnotes for 4:44 was up against Dr. Dre and Jimmy Iovine's The Defiant Ones for Best Music Documentary, while Love & Hip-Hop, The Kardashians, and Real Housewives all battled for the Best Reality Series award.
