Kobe has been a big supporter of Caitlyn for years.

Last night was the Oscars which of course is the biggest night in film. It's when all of the biggest names in Hollywood come together and honor the year's best movies and actors. While the awards show is the biggest part of the night, perhaps the most fun part of the evening is all of the after parties. One of the biggest of the after parties is the Vanity Fair Party which sees plenty of celebrities come together in the same place. Two of those celebrities last night were legendary basketball player Kobe Bryant and former gold medalist in the decathlon, Caitlyn Jenner. The two have mutual respect for one another and were seen hugging at the party, according to TMZ.

For those who don't know, Jenner won the Arthur Ashe Courage Award at the Espys a while back after coming out as transgender. At the time, many felt as though she didn't deserve it, but Kobe was one of the people who showed support, and even told TMZ that it "Doesn't matter what walk of life you're in man, you gotta be comfortable being you."

Kobe's Oscar connection is a pretty personal one as he won Best Animated Short in 2018 for his film, "Dear Basketball" which was based on a poem he wrote about his retirement.
