Pac x Mayweather

Pacquiao and Mayweather cross paths again at Staples Center.

The stars were out at Staples Center last night as the Los Angeles Lakers hosted the defending champion Golden State Warriors. Among those in attendance for the Warriors' 130-111 victory over the LeBron-less Lakers were Halsey, Alexis Ren, Mahershala Ali and Jack Nicholson, in his usual seat.

Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao were also in the building, and the longtime rivals came face to face when Pacman approached Money May at his courtside seat. As seen in the footage embedded below, the encounter was painfully awkward for all involved, including onlookers.

Mayweather and Pacquiao have been teasing a rematch for months now, and this is the second time that the two boxers have come face to face at a Clippers game. Coincidence?

Mayweather, 41, defeated Pacquiao by way of unanimous decision when they first squared off in 2015. Floyd has since retired, then unretired, and most recently stepped in the ring as part of a $9M "exhibition boxing match" against Japanese kickboxing superstar Tenshin Nasukawa, which lasted all of 139 seconds.

Pacquiao, 40, is coming off a decisive victory against Adrien Broner over the weekend.

While there has yet to be an official announcement regarding Mayweather vs Pacquaio 2, Mayweather recently told TMZ Sports, "Before the Mayweather-Pacquiao rematch, I will be back in Tokyo for a huge boxing event. Stay tuned." With the "huge boxing event" out of the way, and with Floyd and Manny crossing paths multiple times in recent weeks, that announcement could come sooner than later.

Although, is anyone really interested in seeing May-Pac 2?
