Drake's breakout mixtape, So Far Gone turns 10 years old today. The project marked the beginning of Drake's ascension to the top of the rap game. The project helped mold the sound of hip-hop today and for many, it's considered one of Drake's best project. J. Cole took to Twitter earlier today to show love to Drake on the project that turned that Toronto child actor into the biggest artist on the planet today.

A lot has happened in Drake's career in the past 10 years and it's crazy to look back at his journey. J. Cole took to Twitter today to show love to Drake on the 10 year anniversary since the release of So Far Gone.

Drake and Cole were two artists that helped usher in a new era in hip-hop in the early 2010s. The two artists went on to link up on "In The Morning" and "Jodeci Freestyle." The two sparked speculation that they had new music on the way in late 2018 when Drake posted a video of him and Cole hanging out in the K.O.D artist's Rolls Royce.

Earlier today, Drake shared a lengthy thank you to several people involved in the creation of So Far Gone including a hilarious shout out to Kanye West. The rapper also announced that the project would be available on streaming services on Thursday.
