He's come a long way from Mad TV.

Jordan Peele's Get Out is the kind of movie that is described be words like "sensation," the kind of movie that should have probably won best picture, but its subject matter is too important or political. The more-than-horror movie was a big deal. Now, Peele has a second feature called Us (a title that belies some of the movie's politics with the implication of its opposite: Them), photos of which have just released today.

The pictures, which you can see via Entertainment Weeklyare a departure from Get Out and Peele told the magazine that he wanted to move away from the more explicitly of-our-time setting and vibe of his first movie: “for my second feature, I wanted to create a monster mythology. I wanted to do something that was more firmly in the horror genre but still held on to my love of movies that are twisted but fun.”

One of the two pictures is a closeup of Lupita Nyong’o (who stars alongside Winston Duke) holding some type of metal weapon, clothes ripped, bracing herself for what is likely one of the monsters of Peele's "monster mythology," or maybe just them: “it turns into this relentless nightmare that taps into [Adelaide’s] deepest fears and ours as well — the idea that we might be our own worst enemies.”
