In 2016 and 2017, Adidas preoccupied themselves with sock-like runners such as the NMD and the UltraBoost. While those sneakers are still heavily supported by Adidas, they aren't pushed by the brand as a top trend. Ever since the Adidas Yeezy Boost 700 "Wave Runner" came out in 2018, pretty well every sportswear and high fashion label hopped on the chunky dad shoe trend. Adidas, having helped pioneer the trend, released new silhouettes of their own. One of the dad shoes the brand with three stripes has created in the response to this trend is the Ozweego Neoprene.

The sneaker is exactly what you would expect from a dad shoe. There is a chunky midsole, all while the upper comes in multiple materials such as suede and mesh. It appears as though a brand new colorway of the Ozweego Neoprene will be released in June to coincide with Pride Month. The shoe is being dubbed the "Love Unites" model as that's what it says on the insole. These come with a gradient rainbow midsole, while the upper is dressed in subtle shades of blue, yellow, and beige.
